I always get a lot of questions about when the best times to go to Disney World are. And so I plan on diving right into that!
I’ll start off by saying that for every family, the “best times” are going to be different. Depending on your crowd limits or festival priorities, your best time won’t be the same as your neighbor’s. And that’s completely okay!

Breaking Down When The Best Times To Go To Disney World Are
- I personally think anytime is a great time to go to Disney World.
- However, for lower crowds look at September, mid May and January after the marathon. I go once a week and from my personal experience those are the times with the lowest crowds.
- September is hurricane season so I highly suggest travel insurance if you travel during that time.
- January can be cold
- May can be very hot.
- That being said, the next few years will be seeing a huge demand for travel to Disney because trips have been moved around.
- When planning when to go to Disney World think of the following…
- Who is traveling? Are you okay taking kids out of school? (School breaks are the most crowded times to go)
- Are you okay if it is cold? Do you want to avoid it being super hot?
- Are there any special celebrations you would like to attend (Mickey’s Not so Scary Halloween Party, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, Food and Wine Festival etc.)
